Wild Article 2 seeds of cultivation barley (Hordeum Sponta-neum C. Koch) considered to be the origin are distributed over west Asia widely, and cultivation classes are produced in Japan, United States, Canada, Chile including Europe of chief producing center. Form is hollow, and stem stands straight, and it becomes around 1 meter in height. Leaf is shorter than wheat and is obstinate widely. Point of stem produces ear and spikelet grows each other and lines up in points. Cultivation class is row of grains of this spikelet and is divided into two-rowed barley (Hordeum distichum L) lining up to Article 6 barley (Hordeum vulgare L) lining up to six lines lengthwise and two lines, and each use is different. We call Article 6 class barley generally in Japan.
