In Ocean Expo Park, Sea Turtles Pool, we succeeded in breeding of "black sea turtle" which was rare kind for the first time in the world in the country in June, 2017!
We performed five times of laying eggs afterward from June through August and produced 262 eggs in total. We confirm incubation for the first time on August 27, and 11 individuals are born to date.
By this breeding success, the days required for maturity start size and ovogenesis of female black sea turtle became clear. Knowledge is poor about propagation of this species life and can expect that knowledge new again is provided by continuing breeding in future.
